Are X Rays Harmful During Early Pregnancy
Can the pregnancy/fetus be effected in 1st-2nd month of pregnancy by cosmic rays during flight? Or should I avoid flight during pregnancy?
Relax: There is no documented evidence that these have any more effect on the fetus than they would if you were on the ground. ...Read more

Are internal scans safe in early pregnancy? Some women reported a miscarriage days after scan insisting there is harm but not yet proven. I'm worried
No evidence of harm: After several decades of use and of research, there is still no scientific evidence that ultrasonography whether internal or external is harmful to human embryos and fetuses. The anecdotal stories of some women "who reported a miscarriage days after scan" unfortunately can not be viewed as reliable or scientific. Pregnancy losses are sadly very common (up to 15-25%) without prior "internal scans" ...Read more

Should too many ultrasounds be avoided? Could they cause miscarriage, especially in early pregnancy?
US only when necess.: Ultrasound (us) is a very safe examination. However, it should be used only when necessary to properly care for the patient or fetus. Why? Us uses high frequency sound waves that we cannot hear, but do have energy. Some us techniques involving doppler to look at blood flow are even more energetic. We do not know for sure what that energy could do to a fetus or embryo, so no us unless necessar. ...Read more
Iam 2 month pregnant...mobile using is harmful during pregnancy..? What are the things that i have to avoid during pregnancy
CAP CT done on 6dpo. I am aware of increased spontaneous miscarriage. But if pregnancy viable, will my baby be at higher risk for any birth defects?
Can an ob detect pregnancy at anual exam 8 dpo? Will exam be different if too early for hpt results?
Not that I know: I have not seen any research that shows a link between ultrasounds in pregnancy and autism. Ultrasound is a valuable tool to use in ob, (check dates, position of placenta, growth of baby), but sometimes it is overdone, because it is risk free, and parents like to see pictures, and drs. Like to 'make sure' they are not surprised. It's a wonderful tool, that sometimes is used to much imho. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Is frequent vaginal ultrasound in early pregnancy dangerous to any extent?i am 7 weeks and i had 5 vaginal ultrasounds already
If multiple early ultrasounds & subsequent ultrasounds yield the same edd is it possible for them to be 4 weeks off (4 weeks further ahead)?
Well: Lets say it is low probability. Early on, in the first trimester, a measurement called the crown-rump length is taken. This is a head to baby's rump measurement. This is so accurate that if the due date from the last period is more than 5 days off the ultrasound due date is used. Behaving multiple confirming scans is even more reassuring that the due date is accurate. Good luck. ...Read more
