Are women usually fertile the day after menstruation?

Are women usually fertile the day after menstruation?

No: After menstruation you probably are the least fertile. Menstruation occurs when the egg is not fertilized and it is washed away with blood & little tissue. With no egg being present at a mature level for conception, it is very unlikely for you to get pregnant at this time. There are of course many other variables. Please consult your ob/gyn or pcp for more information. ...Read more

A few weeks later, one ovary releases an egg and the uterine lining thickens in preparation for a potential pregnancy. Pregnancy can occur at this stage if sperm fertilizes the egg. If the egg is not fertilized, the egg will leave your body and ...Read more

I had my last menstruation on january 28, 2014. Will i be fertile on february 3, 2014?My longest cycle is 37days and the shortest is 25 days. Thanks

Not exactly : Feb 4 is day 7 of your cycle. Even with a short 25 day cycle, you probably wouldn't be fertile until day 10-11. But since sperm can live for several days inside you, it's still possible (but not likely) to conceive from intercourse on day 7. ...Read more

My menses stopped today it started on 17.02.14 when will i be fertile? I really want to have a baby

A rough guide: If you have periods that are very regular and your menstrual cycle is always 28days, then you would ovulate on day 14 counting the first day of your period as day 1. The egg lives about 1 day and sperm can survive for 3 to 5 days. Therefore you could get pregnant on days 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. Of course this pertains to a perfectly and consistently regular menstrual cycle. Check with your gyn. ...Read more

I have lot of white/creamy cheese like discharge from 2-3 days after end of menses until next menses happen. Is this effecting fertility?

It depends: Vaginal discharge will change throughout the menstrual cycle and can be a normal sign of the hormonal changes of pregnancy. On the other hand, vaginal odor can be a sign of bacterial vaginosis. Vaginal itching can be a sign of a yeast infection. Sometimes vaginal discharge can be a sign of a sexual transmitted infection. It is a good idea to get checked out. ...Read more

Is it possible for a womans menstruation cycle to be induced?

Is it possible for a womans menstruation cycle to be induced?

Hormones: Birth control pills containing estrogen and Progesterone will give her a regular monthly cycle without ovulation. A "regular" cycle, including ovulation, can be induced using a 5 or 10 day burst of Progesterone only, each month. Metformin can be used, in the case of polycystic ovary syndrome (pcos), to return her to regular cycling. In pcos, a weight loss of 10% can be effective, as well. ...Read more
