How many cups/ounces of veggie smoothies should I have for optimum health every day? Any veggie must haves?
No data: There are no scientific data on this subject, and if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, they're probably pulling your leg. It sounds like your diet is already healthy if you're drinking veggie smoothies, so you don't need to worry too much about quantity or which vegetable to use. Aim for a healthy, varied diet, and then stop thinking about it. ...Read more

Is brown rice healthy for consumption for a type 2 diabetic? I like brown rice veggie sushi, is it a healthy choice for me? Thanks.
Better than white: Rice -whether it is white or brown is a carbohydrate and should be eaten in a limited amount when you have dm. Brown rice is a better choice because it is higher in fiiber and tends to have better effect on blood sugars. I usually encourage my pts w dm to stay < 30-45grms/meal in women and < 45-60 in men- rice i feel is a carb that encourage getting rid of and focusing on increased veggies. ...Read more
Picky eater not a veggie\fruit lover during 32w pregnant. Not a varied diet but overall healthy. Take daily multivitamins. Concern for baby?
Is subway considered healthy? I basically live off of subway. I do get lots of veggies on my Sandwitch.
It's not too bad ...: I think there is a way to make "living off Subway" pretty healthy. If you get wheat bread, low fat meat (turkey), mostly avoid cheese, get "lots of veggies" and little or no dressing or mayo, it is pretty healthy. You do need some fruit somewhere in your diet, and, of course, lots of water ... not soda pop! ...Read more

Not all foods: While monsanto may have a hand in many agricultural products, they don't control everything. If you are concerned about chemicals then buy your produce from a local organic farm. In any case eating fresh fruits and vegetables, even those "controlled" by monsanto, is healthier then eating processed foods. ...Read more
