Are There Good Natural Treatments For Cancer In The Nose
Not that I know of: Not sure what you mean by "natural". Cancer of the nose is usually treated like other skin cancers and involves surgery or radiation, or combination of both and is curative in over 90% of the cases. Treatment for cancer of the nasopharynx or nasal cavity is usually treated with radiation +/- chemo. ...Read moreGet help now ›
I have nose cancer and have already done my radio n chemo treatments. Why do scans and test still show residues?
How cancer heals: All but the softest cancers produce tough fibrous tissue to support their cells. When radiation / chemo kill the malignant cells, the fibrous tissue stays behind but has no ability to hurt you unless some of the malignant cells can come back. This is a common source of misunderstanding, and i'm very glad you're doing well. ...Read moreGet help now ›
Depends on stage: Nasal cavity cancers can be very dangerous. How they are treated is largely based on how extensive - what stage- it is. Commonly a combination of surgery and radiation is needed. Biopsy is needed for diagnosis and often c/t or pet scans are used to determine the extent of the cancer. ...Read moreGet help now ›
Surgery,XRad,Chemo.: The three consistent modalities of treatment for these tumors are surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. These can be given alone or in combination. Surgery and chemotherapy, like Cisplatin or 5-fluorouracil or surgery and radiation are given for locally advanced disease, while local disease gets surgery and radiation. Advanced/metastatic disease is treated by palliative chemo. Like paclitaxel. ...Read moreGet help now ›

Adjunt only: Holistic treatments like exercise, massage, mental work, good nutrition, and comfort measures can be very valuable. Don't expect any of these, or any herbal or 'magic' treatment, to affect the course of the disease itself. ...Read moreGet help now ›
Not really: Using excellent, balanced nutrition, grapeseed extract, and these types of homeopathic remedies certainly to not harm, but they do not cure cancer. Treatments for cancer are complex and involve several health care specialists. You can always supplement their treatments with herbal remedies, but do not use them exclusively ever. ...Read moreGet help now ›
Is cancer natural?: Many chemotherapy drugs were originally derived from plants and other living things. This includes Taxol (from the Pacific Yew tree), daunorubicin (from Streptomyces peucetius) and etoposide (American Mayapple). To be safe and effective they must be highly purified and given in high doses. Whole foods, in contrast, are beneficial for good nutrition which is important; along with physical fitness. ...Read moreGet help now ›
How do you know when to listen to a doctor and when to explore alternative options and/or natural treatments? I've read about kris carr and seen her movie. I also had a friend of our family battle cancer for a few years. She was recently told she had 1
That : That is a difficult question to answer, as it can apply to so many conditions. In the case of a medical emergency, it seems to have to trust to the care of the doctor or health care provider who is available to you. For more chronic conditions, i suggest you listen carefully to your (conventional) doctor's advice, and if you have any reservations, or feel that you are not getting well, consult with other types of healthcare providers. There are many medical traditions besides the conventional prescription pharmaceutical medications that are so often prescribed by most american physicians: there is oriental medicine which has been practiced and refined over 3000 years, and indian (ayurvedic) medicine that is equally based on thousands of years of practice. There are also western herbal traditions, body therapies and natural medicine practitioners. The bottom line, is, it's your choice and no one will prevent you from getting a second or third opinion from alternative healthcare practitioners. Then you can weigh the information and recommendations you receive, discuss with family or friends, and use your own "gut" feeling about what would work best or makes them most sense for you. I hope that is helpful. I have written a book entitled "renegade patient", which discusses at great length the various alternative health care you might find and information about the training and skills of different types of healthcare providers. You can find it on online bookstores like amazon.Com kind regards, dr. Tedde rinker los altos, ca. ...Read moreGet help now ›
Yes......No: Radiation therapy (in any of its possible versions) is a very important part of therapy for many cancers, be it by itself or as part of a combo with surgery and/or chemo. Bypass surgery does not treat cancer, it just helps manage symptoms caused by it (I'm assuming you mean bypassing an obstruction caused by cancer, not gastric bypass or coronary bypass!) ...Read moreGet help now ›
