Insulin pumps is a convenient way to give insulin. The Insulin is in a reservoir and gets pumped through a needle into the skin nearby. Is there any possibilities for someone who has diabetea type 1 or 2 will free from insulin...?

Possible: By definition type 1 diabetics require insulin, so unless you get a pancreatic transplant, you will need Insulin (some new diabetics have a 'honeymoon' where they can make changes in diet/exercise and not require extra insulin; type 2 diabetes, especially when associated with obesity, is frequently managed without insulin. ...Read more

Why do type 1 diabetic patients have to increase their hemoglobin a1c?

Why do type 1 diabetic patients have to increase their hemoglobin a1c?

A1c a control marker: A1c is a long term marker for glucose levels in the body. It will go up to higher levels when the blood sugar levels are above recomended levels and declines when you keep your sugars in a healthy range. Since the sugar level can go up or down dramaticly over less than hour, A1c is a better overall gage of long term control than your test diary (& you can't fudge the value). ...Read more

Do people with type 1 diabetes make any insulin at all?

Do people with type 1 diabetes make any insulin at all?

None or very little.: Insulin is the hormone secreted by the pancreas to get glucose inside the cells and out of the bloodstream. In diabetes type i, the beta-islet cell of the pancreas are destroyed, and no Insulin is secreted. This means glucose builds up in the blood and the cells don't get it, therefore they starve, and death results if untreated. So treatment is to give them insulin. ...Read more

Are there any tips for a person with type 1 insulin dependent diabetes that would like to explore nature?

Plan ahead: If you mean you'd like to go for long solitary hikes, i'd recommend you carefully pre-emptively titrate your basal Insulin that day (as the activity will lower your sugars), if you hike for hrs, suck on hard candies, and bring your meter- you should check bg every 3-4 hrs. Bring glucose tablets to treat lows. Also, go with a partner, who knows how to use a glucagon pen in case of a severe low. ...Read more

Why are some people who are diagnosed with diabetes mellitus not compliant with their dietary regimen?

If only I knew...: Compliance with physician advice (dietary or otherwise) is very individual. Some patients lack confidence in the advice they are given, some choose to eat what tastes good and makes them happy, some lack self-control, some are sabotaged by other friends/family who set them up to fail.
