Not severe: As a pediatrician, I would not be overly concerned about a hemoglobin of 11+ unless the level is decreasing with time. Adding a quality multivitamin with iron and Vitamin D would be reassuring. ...Read more

At your age you need 5 dairy to get your bones strong for the future( you can only do this until you are 30 and the process slows as you get closer) eat 4 1/2 cup servings of fruit a day & 5 1/2 cup servings of veggies. A, D, E, B6, Iron: One can consume too much of the fat-soluble vitamins a, d & e, but one has to take massive amounts to get into trouble. Taking 25, 000 units of a for many months can be toxic. Vit d toxicity has not been reported with doses under 40, 000 iu/day. Doses of e over 1500 iu/day may cause bleeding. B6 over 250 mg/day can cause neuropathy. While not a vitamin, over 1000 mg of elemental iron is dangerous. ...Read more
