No: The hydrocoels i see on a regular basis are in infants that seem unbothered by the process. Occasionaly parents bring in a baby boy whose been fussy & realize the scrotum seems enlarged. They assume the enlargement caused the fussiness, it is the opposite. A fussy baby can drive a little fluid into a communicating hydrocoel but on exam the structure is not tender. Be patient.: I would give this time to reabsorb (several weeks at least) while keeping a watchful eye for signs of infection like increasing warmth, redness, and tenderness. You should see a urologist if this does not start to resolve or if the presence of the hydrocele is causing pain or discomfort. If the blood occurred spontaneously, i would see a urologist for that as well. ...Read more
