There is gluten sensitivity, affecting more people, but usually milder. There is wheat allergy, less common than the others. The treatment, for now, is to avoid all gluten in ...Read more

Not all hives..: .. are allergies. A common cause of acute hives is a subclinical (otherwise asymptomatic) viral infection. I am allergic to hay, each allergy attack causes red spots and hives. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) gets rid of the hives but not the red dots. How can I get rid of them?
Avoid hay: Unless you have no other option, which is difficult to imagine; this is your best bet. You can also try taking Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or perhaps a nonsedating antihistamine such Zyrtec prior to exposure to hay. It is probably easier to prevent the allergic reaction then to try to get rid of the red dots after it occurs. Hydrocortisone cream in combination with a good moisturizer might be helpful. ...Read more

Everytime I shower or take a bath I get itchy red spots on my body mostly on my upper body and face sometimes. Is it an allergy to be concerned of?
Heat Urticaria: Some people get hives from exposure to really hot water. The rapid change in skin temperature from cold to hot and then hot to cold causes release of histamine which is what causes the rash.
