Are Premature Ventricular Contraction Or Ectopic Heartbeats Dangerous To Me
PVCs and MI: Premature ventricular contractions mean that there is irritability in the heart muscle and normal heart rhythm which starts from high up in the atria is inturrupted in some beats and those beats are originating in the ventricle.Bot it does not mean that it is directly due to mi.But you can get pvcs with mi.Occasional pvcs are not serious but if it comes from many foci and in runs it can be seriou. ...Read more
Very premature is a condition in which a baby is delivered between 28 and 31 weeks' gestation. Depending on how premature, how sick, and how lucky or unlucky a baby is, he can get brain problems, cerebral palsy, blindness, deafness, developmental problems, learning disabilities, severe lung diseases, infection and loss of some intestines, etc... Babies who are only moderately premature usually ...Read more
Holter 48 hr showed 31 xtra beats from atria. If they cause premature ventricular contractions is it dangerous?Read that prexcitaion can cause death??
Pvcs: Pvcs alone carry very little risk unless there is compromised heart function At that point the work up changes to asses quantity and consideration of eliminating the focus with ablation. Pacs from The atrium are also benign but increased frequency can be a warning for other arrhythmia S such as afib ...Read more
Is feeling a PVC(premature ventricular contraction) any more dangerous than not feeling them??Mine are benign but they are killing my anxiety
No!: one the great mysteries in my practice is why some patients feel PVCs and why some do not. There is no correlation between severity, frequency, or risk. The main issue regarding PVCS is excluding structural heart disease and ischemic heart disease. Ischemic heart disease (heart vessel blockages) is quite unlikely in your age group. An exercise stress echocardiogram will clarify all those issues ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Extra beat: A premature ventricular contraction is an extra beat from the bottom of the heart. Any cell in the heart can cause a heart beat but most usually stay quiet and defer to the main electrical system. Occasionally a single cell can fire off on its own causing an extra, or what many people refer to as a "skipped" beat, much like a muscle twitch. ...Read more
No: Premature ventricular contractions or PVCs for short are extra beats from the lower chambers of the heart - the ventricles. Symptoms include skip beats and/or palpitations. In your age group, these beats originate from the outflow tracks. Anxiety can exacerbate the symptoms but are not the cause. ...Read more
Is premature ventricular contraction a health risk and what are the precautions needed by a client having this kind of dysrhythmia?

This usually has to do with the onset of labor. It is a muscular tightening of the uterus. Contractions are timed from beginning to end of hardening of the uterus (duration) and from beginning of one contraction until the beginning of the next (frequency). A third descriptor is intensity or how hard ...Read more
