I am experiencing itchy rash, with bruising and petechiae after scratching it. The itch seems that it might be aggravated with a hot shower.?
Extremely itchy everywhere and have 6-7 petechiae spots. Normal CBC (WBC 8.8, plateltets 331) Is it leukemia or lymphoma??!??!
Scratching causes it:
Petechiae result from a minor bleed from a broken capillary blood vessel. The most common cause for petechiae limited to a specific area is local trauma. Scratching is a common cause. If your petechiae appeared in certain areas only after you started scratching that would be a likely cause. If that is not the case or if your problem persist or worsen see your
physician for a specific diagnosis. ...Read more

Random red spots on body, look like bruises when heal and look like small petichiae around it. Very itchy and look pale when scratched, usually in 2's?
What could cause petichiae rash on upper arms of 6 yo? Same exact spot both arms like a pattern. Got them at school. Said sweater was itchy? Worry?
Itchy red rash looks like petichiae (pink red pin spots) raises up when itched. Crook of elbow-bicep-stomach. Platelets are 160-230. Do petich. Itch?
Platelet count ok:
You should not get symptoms of low platlets until your count drops to around 50
also petichiae in general do not itch. You probably have a fungal rash based on the location, but could be allergies as well.
