I have painless two small lumps on my tongue near molar. Was wondering can syphilis start it's effect in 24hours?

Swollen papillae: The most common cause of tongue bumps are swollen papillae--the normal bumps that give your tongue a rough texture enabling eating, taste and temperature sensing. They may get irritated and slightly swollen related to stress or particular foods. Chronic irritation can cause of fibroma, or other benign cysts or even cancer may develop. Infections include HPV and syphilis, but not that fast. See doc ...Read more

If a person with syphilis wipes semen and/or sores on a steering wheel, can I get it from touching that right after and rubbing eyes?

Far Fetched: The doctors here through lots of dramatic situations have stopped reacting to impossible or far fetched scenarios when it comes to the risk of infectious diseases. In the real world i cannot in any way see how the scenario you have described plays out. But, syphilis. Is caught from an infected sore skin to skin or direct blood or semen to skin. There is no transmission vector of inanimate objec. ...Read more

Hi I'm 27 years old women, had hard swelling painless lump on labia majora and it disappeared by its own can it be syphilis?

No way to...: There is no way to assure you what this is until you get examined, and if the lesion is not there any longer then tested for syphilis. Certainly, in the first stage syphilis presents with a painless lesion which looks more like an ulcer, solitary and it disappears on its own. However the infection remains and it shows later with other symptoms. See your doctor for formal exam and testing. ...Read more

I have painless two red lump on my tongue, near molar. I gave cunnilingus 2 days ago without protection. Is there any chance it might be syphilis?...

Yes: Not impossible. I'd see a doctor and get it checked out. Syphilis is sort of rare but is still around. The good news is that it is easy to test for and very easy to kill when it is caught early. but it also may be nothing at all.. maybe you bit your tongue or something. ...Read more

If you've never been sexually active (at all), it is possible to contract syphilis? Can one get syphilis canker/cold sores inside the lip from kissing

Yes and yes: Although it is rare with present prenatal screening you can inherit syphilis at birth. It is possible but extremely unlikely that you could get it through kissing, (the donor would have to be at just the right phase with germ in the blood and really bad gum disease). Most mouth sores are rather benign and self heal. These are reasonable questions, but exceedingly unlikely to happen. ...Read more

I'm having painless mouth sore - worried that it is syphilis or herpes infection, or oral cancer?

I'm having painless mouth sore - worried that it is syphilis or herpes infection, or oral cancer?

Simply: Have your own general dentist or an oral surgeon take a look at what you are describing so that you will know exactly what it is and whether or not it needs treatment. From what you describe it's unlikely it's any of the three things you mentioned. However, you should find out what it is and the only way to do that is to have someone personally examine you. ...Read more

In case you have syphilis, it is treatable, however, it is important you see a doctor for an evaluation. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Gave oral sex on Sept 2nd , got a sore throat sept 5, could this be syphilis?Doesn't hurt bad, no sores anywhere, no rash, no fever. Neg for strep

Gave oral sex on Sept 2nd , got a sore throat sept 5, could this be syphilis?Doesn't hurt bad, no sores anywhere, no rash, no fever. Neg for strep

Not syphilis: Syphilis symptoms (the sore called a chancre) never start sooner than about 10 days, and sore throat is not a symptom of syphilis. Probably you caught a cold, unrelated to the oral sex. However, other STDs are possible, especially gonorrhea. "Neg for strep" suggest you saw a doctor for testing. If you didn't have throat culture for gonorrhea, discuss with your doctor. ...Read more
