I have 2 marble sized hard lumps I can feel under my skin of my abs. Could this be a sign of non-hodgkin lymphoma?

Cyst: Your abnormalities would be much more likely small cysts rather than lymph glands in that location: lymphoma would be much more likely located in lymph gland areas such as neck groin and arm pit areas.

Hard lumps: Have these lumps gone away or are they still there? If they are still there you need to see a doctor to see if you need antibiotic for an infection or if one of these lumps needs to be biopsied to determine if it is lymphoma.

See a physician: It could be many different things. You should take your daughter to her pediatrician for appropriate evaluation. Physical exam, including visualization, inspection of mobility, evaluation of pain, physical exam of other body parts and regions, will lead to further recommendations, that may include blood work, xrays, etc. Good luck!

3 yo has small hard lump under muscles in neck. Not movable and hard to find. Feels like a bone. Is this a bone I'm feeling? Worry lymphoma?

Sounds like it: Lymph nodes are round firm swellings. There are bones in the neck protecting the breating tube. It seems you have found one. Ask your doctor about it during the next check-up but it doesn't sound urgent

My 2 year old has 2cm hard lump in groin right side. It is movable and painless. He has no other symptoms. Could this be lymphoma at his age?

Should be checked: A 2 year-old with a 2 cm groin lump in a boy could be a lymph node or his testicle. A hernia or hydrocele (fluid-filled lump) is softer, not hard. If it's a lymph node the doctor will check for an injury or infection in the leg, as well as check for other enlarged lymph nodes. The doctor can also see if it's a skin cyst. Lymphoma is very rare in toddlers and should be in more than one lymph node.

My 3 yo has a bony little lump under cartilage in neck. It's not movable. Is there a bone there? It feels hard like a bone. I worry about lymphoma.

Cartilage: I am not sure exactly where you are talking about. The cartilage that makes up the breathing tube (trachea) is made up of rings. Lymph nodes are generally movable. Does not sound suspicious but would recommend that your pediatrician takes a look.

Could I have lymphoma? Bad headaches for few weeks, small lump behind ear (firm but moves slightly), tiredness and breathlessness?

Have it checked out: Sounds like a small lymph node, which for a 19 year old is most likely completely normal. However, if you are having other symptoms and are concerned for a cancerous process, have it checked out. The bump may or may not be related to your other symptoms.

Besides breast cancer/lymphoma, what else causes a hard, immovable, non-tender lump under collarbone in area of infraclavicular node on left side? Thx

Besides breast cancer/lymphoma, what else causes a hard, immovable, non-tender lump under collarbone in area of infraclavicular node on left side? Thx

Many things: Infection, cyst, benign tumor, bruise/bleed; most lumps are not cancer, but masses that are cancer in general continue to grow with time. If you are over 40, I would recommend you should be having annual mammography, regardless of whether you have an infraclavicular mass. Pay attention to this mass, and you should try to see your physician regarding this.

Can you tell me are leukemia lumps the same as lymphoma?

Can you tell me are leukemia lumps the same as lymphoma?

No: Patients with some types of leukemia can develop lumps or tumors. Today these are called granulocytic or myeloid sarcomas or extra medullary myeloid tumors. In the past they were called chloromas because of their greenish hue when cut open. They are usually not in lymph nodes. Lymphomas generally do not float around in blood to the same degree and the tumors are usually in the lump nodes.

Do all lumps need to be biopsied? I have one 9.6 mm on the supraclavicular and worried about Lymphoma. How long does the disease takes to progress?

Lumps: Great question. Not all lumps have to be biopsied. Sometimes they are observed, some have xray studies and some are biopsied. Sometimes though if there is other history the nodes are biopsied.

Chance of lymphoma at 34. Have red painful lumps under arm pit. Scared its lymphoma.?

Chance of lymphoma at 34. Have red painful lumps under arm pit. Scared its lymphoma.?

Lymphoma can occur..: ..at any age, but is more common in older people. Lymphoma does not usually cause visible red, painful lumps in the skin. It is usually painless and causes swellings in lymph nodes under the skin or much deeper. Red lumps in the armpits can be due to shaving and ingrown hairs, or furuncles which are like pimples or acne lesions.

What are the statistics of lymphoma in young adults (21) What are the odds that neck lumps could be cancerous? Have severe anxiety, please help!

Relax: All young adults have at least one, and usually 2-4, palpable neck nodes. The ones that are lymphoma -- usually Hodgkin's -- are obviously abnormal (size, consistency).

Enlarged node: It's important to have this worked up. Your doctor may suggest an FNA (fine needle aspirate) or a needle biopsy. Either would be submitted to a pathologist for examination. See your doctor and start the workup.

Lymph nodes: Likely feeling normal deeper structures, but check with pcp for lymph node enlargement from inflammation, infection, or other possible causes.

See the Oncologist: If you have been diagnosed with lymphoma and have new lumps near the knee that you are concerned are enlarging nodes you should see an oncologist and have her/him examine you and determine the next best step for diagnosis, observation or treatment.

Signs that lumps in your neck are lymphoma? My boyfriend has some small lumps in his neck but the doctor said they were fatty tissue. Recently he discovered another lump by his lymph node. It's squishy and he can move it around. He doesn't think it's gott

For: For a full evaluation of lumps in the neck, definitely see a doctor. Small, soft lumps are usually not dangerous. We have 70-80 lymph nodes in each side of the neck. They help fight infection and remove impurities--infection and inflammation are the main cause of swelling in the nodes (ear and throat infections, skin infections, sinusitis, etc.) soft, squishy lumps that are easily moved around and the fact that a doctor called them fatty, makes me thin kthat he may have a lipoma (benign, fatty tumor of fat cells). Nodes can fluctuate in size. If a neck mass/lump does not start to get better after a couple of weeks, it should be evaluated. The differential diagnosis of neck lumps changes with age. Anyone over 40 years old, especially if smoking and drinking, absolutely needs to be seen.
