I've been experiencing vaginal itch for over three weeks now, without experiencing (at least not visible or painful) blisters. Is it likely herpes?
Probably herpes: Herpes is by far the main cuase of "painful blisters in and around the vagina". That your partner feels he is "clean" is meaningless; most people with genital or oral herpes don't know it. See a doctor ASAP, the sooner the better for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Triggers?: I get these suckers too, ; they hurt! first you should to find your triggers--sun exposure, stress, fevers--and try to control for these. Definitely use a sun blocking lip balm when out.
