At: At this point it is time to see your doctor. You will likely need an endoscopy (a procedure where your doctor will be able to look at your upper GI tract including your stomach). You may have a hiatal hernia, ulcers, gastritis/esophagitis etc. This is a serious issue since you are now vomiting for relief. Please schedule a visit with your doctor right away. In the meantime avoid any spicy foods, caffeine, acidic foods, medications including ibuprofen, aspirin, or aleve (naproxen).

Stay upright: Acid reflux is basically acid squirting from your stomach up in the direction of your throat. If you are upright, gravity generally speaking keeps the acid towards the bottom of your stomach.
But if you lay flat, that acid has an easier time getting to your throat. Food/liquids generally will cause your stomach to make more acid.
