Are Full Body Aches Related To Herniated Disc
No: A herniated disc tends to cause localized pain or if a nerve is being compressed by a herniated disc pain can occur in an arm or leg. For example, if a disc is herniated in the neck, pain can radiate into an arm which we call a radiculopathy or radicular pain. If the herniated disc is in the lower back the pain can radiate into a leg and it can be severe. Full body aches are not related to a disc. ...Read more

I have herniated disc between shoulders and sciatic nerve pain now my skin is sore to touch all over any relation?
No: Herniated discs may push on nerves but the pain radiates only along the affected nerve(s). For examples, sciatica is not related to the shoulder blade level disc herniation. Sciatica is caused by pressure on lower lumbar nerves. Skin sensitivity to touch is caused by sensitive nerve endings in the skin, not a problem back at the spinal cord or spinal nerves. ...Read more

What can be done about back and feet ache caused by herniated disk, when physiotherapy didn't work?
Correct PT?: When people let me know that pt is not working my first question is who, where, and what was done during therapy. More often that not the treatment did not include an important intervention. Not all pt is made the same. Discuss this with your physician. If therapy has been appropriate then further evaluation or testing may be necessary to determine what part of the spine is causing the pain. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Honest: This is not a case for HealthTap. You need a 1-1 evaluation by a neurologist and/or rheumatologist. The efforts of the available HealthTap MD's have been outstanding as far as they could go In fact, if you are near the Mayo or Lahey clinics, then you should go there for an inter-discipline evaluation. In absolutely no sense of criticism, you have been through what I call "too much:" and need important psychological support to help you work this thru. H. My roommate had full body aches yesterday and her stomache hurts, she has pain on her right side and she gets shooting pain down her right leg.
To ER: Do not know the relationship between the onset of body and stomach aches, but the pain you are describing strongly suggest irritation of a nerve root exiting from the lumbar spine. This can be caused by many things, most commonly a bulging intraspinous disc. She needs to go to student health service or to an ER right away, and needs to thank you for your concern. ...Read more

I've a herniated disc @ c6/c7 in august '11. Lost all strength in right triceps. Tricepts getting stronger now. How long can full recovery take?
Can take months: If you lost all your strength, the nerve was really pinched. If you recover fully it will take months. Do not stop exercising and strengthening the muscle because once you atrophy that muscle it will become difficult to get full strength back. You may need to get an EMG study done to see the extent of damage if you are not better and may even need a dedicated OT/PT program. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I have 2 herniated disc's in my lower back. I am having a lot of feelings like ( going to sleep) in my upper body (most of my upper torso). Should i?
Your presentation is: A bit unusual . The symptom from nerve compression or impingment is distal to the lesion . If you have bulge disc that is symptomatic . The symptoms should be lower than the area of injury not higher up. I think you need to see your doc and need reevaluation . Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
