If cancer is a metabolic disease, why are we feeding children w/ DIPG lots of carbs & sugars...limited glucose should be helpful preventing growth?

Be discerning: Cancer is not a "metabolic disease" as represented on websites like the one you have been reading. It's the result of accumulated genetic mutations. You're not going to "limit glucose" in any case -- anything you eat gets turned into this, as it's the key fuel in your body. Which foods are good source of fiber for fructose intolerant people?

Fructose intolerance: Is often mistaken for sugar intolerance. I have had patients that could eat fresh fruit with impunity after being diagnosed with fructose intolerance. Can eating chapathi only (as a dietary food) good for blood sugar patients? Is rice bad for blood sugar?

Can eating chapathi only (as a dietary food) good for blood sugar patients? Is rice bad for blood sugar?

Carbohydrates: Eaten alone, chapathi and rice may cause your blood sugar to rise rapidly. Insulin doses and pancreatic response may not be able to keep up. If you want to eat those foods, adding protein, non-starchy (fibrous) vegetables, and healthy fat will help your system deal with the carbohydrate more gradually. Chapathi is a little more nutrient-dense than rice, though. http://tinyurl.com/mxm8qh3. ...Read more

Is all sugar bad? E.g. Sugar in fresh fruit, or sugar in raw honey. Liver load in mind not so much weight loss. How much a day including from fruit ?

Low-glycemic fruitOK: Good question. Some fruit has much more sugar than others. Small fruits where you eat the peel have many health benefits (berries, cherries, grapes, apples) & don't increase blood sugar much, but tropical fruits/melons should be limited. Honey in moderation also has health benefits-as a sweetener better than sugar but don't eat for health! See http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/264667.php ...Read more
