I am dependant on humidifier to be able in winter to be able to breath when air is dry due heating indoors, asking for causes and alternative solution?

Typical effect: The average human needs humidified air (35-45%) to prevent the effect to dry heat on the nasal membranes. I ve dry nose, especially in winter[below 40 humidity], I ve to use humidifier to breath well, what may be the cause while others can breath without it?

Not uncommon: Many have either a dry nose (with nose bleeds) or dry/soar throat after sleeping the night in poor humidity. The oral/nasal airway adds water to the air as it enters the lungs. Humidity needs to be near 100% at the air exchange point in the lungs or you get tissue injury. Nasal allergies, septal deviation and or membrane swelling aggravates the process. It is a natural event for many. ...Read more
