Are Antibiotics Effective On Warts
Had warts about 2 years ago took antibiotics. Can they come back & can I give them to my spouse? Are they Serious?
What dosage do you recommend if podofilox is taken? And is leflox a good antibiotic to fight such bacteria? And lastly can the warts spread all over
Genital warts?: Podofilox is simply applied to warts, usually without other consideration of the dose. Sometimes daily, other times only 2-3 times a week; follow the instructions on your prescription or that you received from your doctor or clinic. Levofloxacin has no effect on warts or HPV, the virus that causes them. Warts almost never "spread all over". Clarify any further question with your doctor.
Is it enough to treat genital warts on the skin surface or is medication needed as well? Could antibiotics help in preventing new ones from appearing?
Hi I have this wart on the side of my finger I tried using vinegar and antibiotic ointment on it....the skin started to peel around the wart now it ju?
Treating warts: Vinegar won't help warts at all, and neither will antibiotic ointment. If you're sure it's a wart, over-the-counter wart treatments are available (e.g. Compound W and others on the same pharmacy shelves). If uncertain, see a doctor for diagnosis. Good luck!
What kind of antibiotic is best for a foot infection following treatment for plantar warts? Had cryo liquid nitrogen and canthacur treatment on foot for several plantar warts 2 days previously. The post treatment instructions said to call with any signs
SIGNS OF INFECTION: Cryotherapy for warts can produce blistering, with pain, redness, swelling and a clear drainage. Although these are signs of infection, most likely it is the normal reaction to the freezing. Only by your doctor seeing it will he/she know for sure. Dr. LatvaSee 3 more doctor answers
Do genital warts hurt and do they grow quickly I have a UTI and am on antibiotics and noticed yesterday a few lumps and a growth near my anus, looks like a hemroid, I also have a large lump in my lymph area of my groin in my bikini line
Verrucas: Human papilloma virus requires inoculation into living cells, whereby the virus "takes over" the normal cell creating "virus factories". These cells then can rapidly reproduce (exponentially) whereby rapid formation of the visible lesions (warts) occur. As in any infectious process, lymph node enlargement can occur. Recommendation for medical evaluation as contagious and links to cancer.See 1 more doctor answer
Possibly...: Trichloracetic acid (tca) is a potent acid for topical treatment of warts. Like any modality, there are success rate ranges, it's just a matter of trying different modalities until you find one that works well for you. I generally reserve surgical intervention for the most stubborn cases, unless this is just what the patient wants.See 2 more doctor answers
Different responses: People have different resposes. That is why there are so many preperations.See 1 more doctor answer
What type laser is most effective/least painful for. 75 inch persistent plantars warts? Can you comment on the genenis plus vs. Lightpod neo?
I like: Pulse dye lasers for warts. I can't comment on the lasers you mention.
Very: It can be very effective if the wart is fairly new.
Unknown...: It is a treatment recommendation that has spread over the internet. As far as I know, there are no scientific studies to show any degree of effectiveness. You are basically just tearing the upper layers of the skin away as the tape is removed. There are better ways... See a podiatrist.
Is salycilic acid effective in treating warts? If not what is the most effective and cheapest treatment. Thanks.
Yes: Salycilic acid is effective but it also depends on the strength of it.See 1 more doctor answer
Lots of ways: You can use the liquid nitrogen, liquid nitrous oxide (this is what I like to use), topical acids, dermal scraping. You can also try oral Cimetidine (400 mg three times a day for 12-16 weeks). This is very safe and had the side effect of getting rid of warts for many people of adult size and weight (japma november 1, 1995 vol. 85 no. 11 717-718). For excisions, I use radiowave surgery.
Several treatments.: You can try over the counter wart removers, but be careful: I've seen them do more harm than good. Other options your doctor might offer include cryotherapy (freezing the wart), electrocautery (burning the wart), laser treatment, or several different topical chemical treatments. If the treatment is typically uncomfortable, your doctor can numb the area before proceeding.See 3 more doctor answers
Skin tag: Can be removed by tiring strings around them really tightly until the skin does and the fall off. You can try to get rid of warts by covering with duct tape (real kind) and only removing it to change it until wart is gone). Warts are more difficult
