Aqua Glycolic Cleanser Medication
Doxycycline twice daily, aqua glycolic facial cleanser, sodium sulfacetamide 10% and sulfur 5%.My face dries from time to time;i would like to know why.
Modify regimen: Sulfacetamide/sulfur often causes dryness, particularly during the winter. I would first ask your dermatologist to substitute something milder. You can also use a light moisturizer as needed if you wish, but choose one that says "non-comedogenic" on the label, meaning that it won't plug up your oil glands and make your acne worse. ...Read more
I want to use a glycolic acid cleanser followed by a salicylic toner followed by a retinol serum. How much time should I leave in between?
Let it dry.: Be sure you dilute and remove all of the glycolic and let skin dry completely before applying the salicylic. You may get irritation with retinol over the salicylic, so best to let it dry first and if so, don't use them together. You could use a hair dryer on cool to make this quicker. Good luck! ...Read more

Need a name of a drug for acne and spots or inflamed skin following acne for oily and sensitive skin and a cleanser?
Scientific Rx: First, manage your acne. If 5% topical benzoyl peroxide 2x/day hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician for something to add -- acne can be managed. Hydroquinone bleach can fade the dark spots (not the red spots) left behind, but be sparing or you'll disfigure yourself. Best wishes. ...Read more
