Maybe: What you are describing sounds like an infected lid margin gland (meibomium). Using an occlusive oil or gel can clog the opening of the gland resulting in it backing up and becoming infected. Stop using these thngs on the eyelid. Only use soap and water, or a water based makeup remover. If you have an infection, warm compresses may help it reolve. Not dangerous: It can be helpful to rinse your eyes with tap water at room temperature by splashing water flowing from the tap into open eyes. Natural tearing will also wash the products out eventually, and really this shouldn't take more than few minutes to happen. My guess is that by the time you read this, you'll already feel better. Don't wipe the surface of your eye with any object, or you can do harm. ...Read more
