How do u drink apple cider vinegar to help clean the kidneys or is it even true?

How do u drink apple cider vinegar to help clean the kidneys or is it even true?

Urban myth...: ...or you could call it an old wives' tale. Drinking cider or any other vinegar, or any acid, won't do anything to "clean the kidneys" or otherwise help your health. If you like the taste, feel free (in moderation). Otherwise find a drink that tastes better! ...Read more

If I have kidney disease , and I have a very dry scalp, can I use apple cider vinegar, to help me ?

If I have kidney disease , and I have a very dry scalp, can I use apple cider vinegar, to help me ?

Sure: If your kidney disease upsets your stomach, the vinegar may make it worse. If you're expecting drinking the vinegar to help dry scalp, you're overly optimistic. Applying it topically might help -- your physician may have other suggestions. Apple cider vinegar is promoted as being good for everything, which itself should let you draw a reasonable conclusion. Still, it's interesting. ...Read more

Is there any proof that Apple cider vinegar is an effective pain relief for galbladder attacks or stones?

Is there any proof that Apple cider vinegar is an effective pain relief for galbladder attacks or stones?

Why would you think so: Apple cider vinegar when consumed in large amounts may lower potassium levels, promote osteoporosis, raise renin levels, alter insulin levels, & even burn your esophagus. Apple cider vinegar tablets are not well regulated, may vary dramatically in terms of vinegar content from brand to brand, & lack evidence of efficacy. If you have a gallbladder problem, see your doctor for appropriate treatment. ...Read more

Can i take apple cider vinegar with lisnopril 5 mg? I take 2.5 mg in the morning and 2.5 mg at night.

Can i take apple cider vinegar with lisnopril 5 mg? I take 2.5 mg in the morning and 2.5 mg at night.

Apple cider vinegar: Lisinopril belongs to a group of blood pressure medications that affect the way the kidney manages potassium, usually leading to slightly higher levels. Apple juice, and likely apple cider vinegar, is not a high potassium item. Some of my severe ckd patients would not be able to handle the acid load of apple cider vinegar, but a person with normal kidney function should not have any difficulty. ...Read more

Is drinking apple cider vinegar good for health or harmful? ( mixed with water )
Thanks

Neither: If you are otherwise healthy -- in particular, if your kidneys are working normally -- this will neither help nor harm your health in any way. Assuming, of course, that you're not drinking liters of the stuff. Too much acid (which is what this is) or anything else can be harmful. ...Read more

Will Heinz apple cider vinegar work like brAggs apple cider vinegar?

Will Heinz apple cider vinegar work like brAggs apple cider vinegar?

Not entirely but...: Bragg's is raw/unpasteurized whereas I'm fairly sure Heinz is pasteurized. Pasteurization degrades some nutrients and enzymes that are beneficial. Also, Bragg's is organic whereas Heinz is not, and apples are in the EWG "Dirty Dozen" and high in pesticide residues. Heinz should have many of the same benefits but, given a choice, I recommend Bragg's. ...Read more
