Can sexual transmited diseases decrease the chances in getting pregnant?

Can sexual transmited diseases decrease the chances in getting pregnant?

Absolutely: Infections can cause scarring in your belly and damage the fallopian tubes. The more serious the infection the more likely it leads to infertility. And multiple infections greatly increases the chance of infertility. Infections can also lead to painful sex and chronic pelvic pain.

Is it true that homosexuals are more likely to transmit diseases like hiv-1 and hiv-2 sexually?

Is it true that homosexuals are more likely to transmit diseases like hiv-1 and hiv-2 sexually?

No, but depends: No, it is not necessarily true that homosexuals are more likely to transmit hiv-1 and hiv-2 sexually. It ultimately comes down to the risk behavior of the specific sexual act that leads to HIV infection. Unprotected anal intercourse is the most risky, but whether that occurs with two men or a man and woman, the risk is the same. Unprotected vaginal intercourse is less risky followed by oral sex.

Can i get a sexually transmited disease from scratches (but with no blood) on my tongue by lingual braces?

Can i get a sexually transmited disease from scratches (but with no blood) on my tongue by lingual braces?

Possible: Having scratches on your tongue from your braces could be open breaks in the skin which makes you more susceptible to infection. Contact with blood, saliva and genital fluids may allow for bacteria, viruses and fungus to pass into your body. Stds included.

How do I know if someone has a sexual transmitted disease?

How do I know if someone has a sexual transmitted disease?

They tell you: Most often, the people need to be tested for std's and then it is really there moral and ethical obligation to tell you they have an std if you are a sexual partner of theirs. Simple clues of course could be lesions on the genitals, a foul smelling discharge, etc. But you would only suspect it, and then should avoid sex until you know what your getting yourself into. Best wishes.

Hey I wanted to ask if u could get any sexual disease or any type of disease from giving a handjob

?

You could get herpes: if they had open lesions and you rubbed them. I don't know if genital warts can be transmitted this way. Otherwise, I don't think so.

Might a sexual transmitted disease show up on a blood test?

STD: Stds do show up on blood tests--if they are tested for. Syphilis, hiv, hep, can be revealed in blood, as some herpes. The others like chlamydia and gc are done with swabs. But "routine" blood tests don't "screen" for these diseases.

How safe is a condom to protect against a sexual transmitted disease ?

How safe is a condom to protect against a sexual transmitted disease ?

Helps: Condoms are very effective at preventing stds that are transmitted by fluid like gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV and trichomoniasis. They are still helpful but less so against disease passed by skin to skin contact like herpes, hpv and syphilis. If these infections are in areas where the condoms are not covering the transmission is possible.

How do you know if a person has aids or any sexual disease without asking her?

How do you know if a person has aids or any sexual disease without asking her?

You can't.: Unfortunately this underscores how important it is to practice safe sex. Even in the most open and honest relationships, she may not even know if she carries certain asymptomatic stds.

How do sex workers prevent themselves from transmitting sexually acquired diseases?

How do sex workers prevent themselves from transmitting sexually acquired diseases?

Condom vs no Condom: A condom is the most reliable way to prevent most stds. Contact of genital skin to genital skin is the most common pathway for stds to be transmitted; however, hpv/hsv (warts/herpes) can be transmitted from areas that a condom doesn't protect (base of the penis, scrotum). If by sex workers you mean prostitutes, that is the answer. If you mean porn actors, they are all routinely screened for stds.
