Are small, benign but painful ulcers of the mouth and throat. They generally resolve on their own in 10-14 days. There are various over the counter remedies that help control the pain.

Herpes simplex viruses can also cause canker sores or cold sores. Pain meds and mixtures of topical meds (miracle mouthwash) can help. A food diary can be helpful in pointing to certain foods, however if you eat wheat every day, blood tests amy identify a gluten sensitivity. ...Read more

Acidic food/drinks: You should avoid acidic foods such as soda and other carbonated beverages, citrus fruit, etc. Rinse 4 times a day with warm salt water rinse to ease the pain and aid healing.
