Is electro stimulation therapy appropriate for bicep tendonitis?

It depends: Electric stimulation has been used for over 100 years. These days you have units that use either milliamps or microamps. There are now very sophisticated microcurrent machines in use by physicians, chiropractors, pts and athletic trainers. I think they are the most effective. Find a frequency specific microcurrent provider who has a machine w/ many settings including ones just for tendons. ...Read more

What is bicep tendonitis and can it be caused by impact ? Also would that explain instability of the tendon at certain angles?

What is bicep tendonitis and can it be caused by impact ? Also would that explain instability of the tendon at certain angles?

I have pain in the center of my bicep when curling, which rules out tendonitis or dislocation as it is not near the shoulder. Any thoughts? (im 21)

It does not!!!!: The body has what is called referred pain. A tendon attaches a muscle to bone. When you contract a muscle, you stress the tendon. If you have tendinitis at either side you could have pain. There are two biciptal tendons. Either could hve inflammation or be injured. Also, direct bicep strain/sprain is also a major consideration! curling....Unusual sporting activity! are you a canuck? ...Read more
