Though seemingly a simple reservoir, the bladder is a complex organ intricately connected with the brain and spinal cord with sensory, motor, and autonomic circuits. The muscular layer that contracts during voids ...Read more

Avoid irritants: While I don"t believe there are any specific recommendations, prudent advice would be to avoid those substances known to be bladder irritants. Irritating liquids include coffee, tea, carbonated beverages, alcohol, citrus & cranberry juices. Spicy foods, tomatoes & tomato products, chocolate, processed meats and fish, soy products, aged cheeses, some condiments and nuts may also be irritants. ...Read more
Had neurogenic bladder due to cauda equina syndrome. Is there any chance that botox can help reduce urinary retention, urgency problem?Should i try it?
Talk to urologist: Assuming you have an atonic bladder causing problems with initiation of urine, or overflow, Botox would have no value and might even cause worsening. If you suffered urgency incontinence, might be useful. Urodynamic testing can determine the precise bladder dysfnctn and guide therapeutic intervention. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Recently diagnosis diabetes insipidus after long-term lithium use. Drinking and urinating constantly. Some evenings will stop urinating suddenly, any urine that does come out is highly concentrated. Why?
Question diagnosis : True nephrogenic (from the kidney) diabetes insipidus should not allow you to concentrate your urine. If you take NSAID drugs (ibuprofen) prior to bed you might concentrate your urine as a consequence. Otherwise i would consider that you are not drinking at night and still have concentrating ability, and the diagnosis may actually be polydipsia, drinking excessive amounts of fluids. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I really need to stop using meth. Are there any meds that could help withdrawal? Also, have there been any new advances or methods in meth recovery?
You can do it: There is no standardized method and treatment should be individualized. You should not fight this alone & ideally under the longitudinal care of a psychiatrist &/or addiction medicine specialist. In most, withdrawal symptoms tremendously improve by 3 weeks. Are there any other options then avodart hate the side effects had every bad symptom from inability maintain an erection, decrease in sex drive, problem ejaculating . Was taking for slow urine flow rate. I stopped taking is there any over-the-counter
Finasteride : Finasteride is an alternative to avodart (dutasteride). Unfortunately, it has a very similar side effect protocol to Avodart (dutasteride) as it has the same mechanism of action. Alpha blockers like tamsulosin, sildosin or alfuzosin are very good at improving a patient's force of stream. However, they too can cause a decrease in your ejaculate. They should not however interfere with your sex drive. They would really provide your best chance for symptomatic relief. I would also speak to your urologist about the possiblity of surgical intervention. However this too will likely wipe out your ejaculate. As for alternative products, there have been two randomized control trials looking at saw palmetto published in the nejm that have shown that it does not work. As for other products, I do not know of any hard data showing that they work. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
