Which fillers last longer: restylane, (dermal fillers) juvederm, teosyal, esthelis, aquamid, or bio alcamid?

Which fillers last longer: restylane, (dermal fillers) juvederm, teosyal, esthelis, aquamid, or bio alcamid?

I avoid "permanent": Though Aquamid (and others)is not available in the US, it is in other countries. (if it's being offered in the US you should avoid that office altogether). I generally recommend that my patients avoid permanent fillers though, especially when they are young like you, because you don't know how your face will change over the next 20 years. You may end up with volume where you don't want or need it. ...Read more

Can radiesse (dermal fillers) be dangerous? Does anyone ever have serious reactions to radiesse (dermal fillers)?

.

Radiesse (dermal fillers) : Radiesse might be the safest to inject due to its lack of reactions/side-effects. The biggest problem with Radiesse is that it is not a reversible procedure without surgery. I love the product and it is my #1 choice for naso-labial folds. It is a little more expensive that juvederm and restylane, (dermal fillers) but last twice as long. Make sure your dr is very experienced with radiesse. Ask for before & after photos. We all like to show off our work. ...Read more

How do botox and Restylane (dermal fillers) injections differ?

How do botox and Restylane (dermal fillers) injections differ?

Different drugs: Botox is what we call a neurotoxin. It's a purified protein that blocks the transmission of a signal from the nerve ending to the muscle. By doing so, it allows the muscle to relax and in turn, it gives the skin a chance to relax and the wrinkles disappear. Restylane (dermal fillers) is a hyaluronic acid that is injected under the skin to fill depressions. It's usually used to reduce laugh lines or plump the lips. ...Read more

Why do some doctors act disbelieving when I mention being allergic to a filler in certain meds? IE: Some meds I can take in capsule, but not a tablet.

Uncommon: Many doctors may not believe your story because it is rare to be allergic to the fillers in medication although not impossible. If swallowing the medication is the issue then it is understandable capsules are easier to swallow. In your case, I would be focusing more on a potential reaction to the vegetable gum which binds the tablets together. The best thing is for you to consult an allergist. ...Read more

Don't panic!: Fortunately, perlane, (dermal fillers) like all hyaluronic acid dermal filers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. There is a new human recombinant form that may cause less allergic reaction. The product also can be squeezed out through a needle stick. Talk to your doctor for advice or seek another opinion from a local plastic surgeon or dermatologist. ...Read more

Time: Sorry that you had a bad experience; choose your cosmetic artist well. Fortunately, hla facial fillers have a temporary effect. Had 1ml perlane (dermal fillers) in lips. Injector did a bad job! pain and it got huge am on predisolone and e-mycin. I have bumps! allergic to hyaluronidase ! unhappy?

Site close to skin: I doubt that there is an allergic response. Injection needs to be deep enough so that there are not bumps in the superficial dermis. The steroid and the antibiotic may be helpful; however, ice 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off may also help decrease the swelling and inflammation. I do not know who performed the injection; however, a second opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon may help all. ...Read more

I'm 29 years &was thinking of trying Neocell Super Collagen+C Type 1&3, should I stick to the prescribed dosage of 6 pills (3 morning,3 afternoon)?

Hmmm....: The question is why does a person take a supplement of ground up fish, pig, cow, or chicken collagen, when she can just eat those animals as food. Is there a deficiency or disorder in her body that requires buying and taking such collagen? And, if so, how does she know the item she is buying actually does any good, and is without harm. Food is usually safer. Her primary care doctor can help. ...Read more
