Can ptsd, or OCD cause mania at night not .Hyper but fidgety , exstreme insomnia feeling the need to figure things out, write list, clean organize?

In short, yes: I'm not sure you actually mean mania -- but severe anxiety such as found in ptsd and/or ocd can surely interrupt sleep and cause the problems you describe. Seeing a psychiatrist for full evaluation can be a beginning in finding relief. Many people with ptsd are fearful of going to sleep due to nightmares. If you do have bipolar illness, the zoloft (sertraline) can make it worse. Please do see psychiatrist. ...Read more

If someone in a bipolar manic episode threatens to kill you, will the carry out the act?

Can't be sure: While the mentally ill on the whole are not especially prone to violence, any explicit threat must be taken seriously — especially from someone with obviously poor judgment. A person at risk for endangering himself or others (eg, threatening to kill) due to a mental disorder can be held for a psychiatric evaluation and protective custody. How can you get from hypomania to full blown mania?

How can you get from hypomania to full blown mania?

Hypomania to mania: I'm not sure why you would want to advance the severity of bipolar d/o and i'm not sure that you can self-induce this type of mood state (drug use excluded), but depriving yourself of sleep and continuing to act on every impulse will probably set the stage. Continuing to cognitively reinforce grandiose beliefs and not listening to comments from those close will also assist your quest to mania. ...Read more

Just ask: Addict or not the only way you will know is to discuss all of your symptoms with your doctor. Only difference is (s)he is unlikely to prescribe any medication that may be in any way addictive. I'm starting to experience psychotic symptoms again, finding it very hard to disassociate studying and using Adderall, how do I break the cycle?

Adderall can worsen: psychosis (loss of touch with reality including hallucinations and distortions in thinking and emotions). Psychosis can impair concentration and focus interfering with studying. Seek evaluation to sort out ADHD, psychosis and medication indications. Take medications only as prescribed and report both good and bad effects to prescriber to guide adjustments. Best regards in your health and studies. ...Read more
