I have OCD and i also have anxiety, do any medications for OCD or anxiety affect the birth control pill?

I have OCD and i also have anxiety, do any medications for OCD or anxiety affect the birth control pill?

Some may/ most no: The question is rather broad because there are so many different medications used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder and i see that you live in australia. You probably have other medications that we do not have available in the United States. How to get rid of nausea due to anxiety after stopping birth control pill and how long will it take to feel normal again?

How to get rid of nausea due to anxiety after stopping birth control pill and how long will it take to feel normal again?

It depends: If you are so anxious about becoming pregnant after stopping the pill, either get back on it or take something else to prevent pregnancy. If your diagnosis is correct, no anxiety, no nausea. Otherwise, I would suggest that your nausea is more likely because you are pregnant since stopping the pill. In that case, perhaps a pregnancy test is indicated. ...Read more

I'm on the birth control pill, recently become bad with health anxiety, how much of a heart problem risk does the pill cause? Is it drastic? Thankyou

Heart and BP pill: The risk of having a heart attack or stroke is low for most women, but it increases with age. At your age it is low risk, but over 35 the risk is higher. Also, women who smoke have a higher risk of heart disease. I would recommend no smoking if you are on the pill. Also, your blood pressure should be taken before starting the pill. High blood pressure is a risk for heart disease. ...Read more
