Can anxiety cause brain tumor-like symptoms? I fear that I have a brain tumor because I started getting nauseated and weak fatigued and muscle shaking

Yes.: Symptoms raising concern for brain tumor vary depending on the part of the brain they affect. Uncontrollable nausea and vomiting (without diarrhea), dizziness, vertigo or focal weakness or sensory loss in one part of your body on one side of your body would be symptoms to watch for. Brain tumors are rare, and it's much more likely your symptoms are due to anxiety. A neurologist could help.

Neoplasms (Definition)

"tumor" literally translates as "mass", so even a fresh bruise could be called a "tumor". Doctors use the term "neoplasm" (tranlates literally as new growth) to describe tumors that are abnormal growths of cells. These may be benign or malignant; "malignant" = cancer. In everyday usage, we use "tumor" ...Read more

Does is right that stress can cause gbm brain tumor im in high stress and anxiety from 3 years constant now I have symptoms im worry?

Not related: Gbm is not caused by stress. If it were, gbm would be a lot more common than it is. Chronic stress, or reactions to it, can cause or be associated with a bunch of other health issues. Learn to destress, preferably without meds, or drugs like alcohol, pot, etc.

Not otologic problem: I would strongly recommend a neurological consult. Anxiety is not a fair diagnosis. You need a thorough neurological evaluation and if that is negative, then anxiety may play a role. Light-headedness is not an inner ear symptom.

Why does anxiety make you feel like one symptom of being sick is cancer? My gf is nausea and scared of brain tumor. She googled.

Why does anxiety make you feel like one symptom of being sick is cancer? My gf is nausea and scared of brain tumor. She googled.

Automatic thoughts: Our thoughts are very automatic and our mind is looking for answers. If she interprets her nausea as something to be afraid of, her mind will suggest possibilities and could include cancer. The key is to not always believe the first interpretation of a situation. She may benefit from going to a doctor and also a therapist.

Calm down: Rest assured that most of what you are worried about are very rare in 22 year olds. As others have suggested, read about what you are worried about and it should allay your concerns, and if not consult your doctor and get a referral to a psychiatrist or psychologist to help you with the anxieties.

5yo woke up from sleep vomiting at 630am no other symptoms. Acting fine and hungry. I have bad anxiety and worried it's a brain tumor. Can it be?

Ear Infection: You love your 5 yr old very much. I am empathic to your anxiety as you have gone through your child’s frequent ear infections and Eustachian tube dysfunction. Vomiting is not due to brain tumor as ‘he is acting fine” It is likely due to ear infection. It may be due to stomach flu, overeating, food allergy or anxiety. Anxiety: Ruling out any physical problems, I would recommend a full psychiatric evaluation to determine what is bothering you based on your symptomology. Consider medication, as well as a referral to a reputable psychotherapist to help you with whatever bothers you.

The likelihood: That this due to a brain tumor is low. However, these sound like very bothersome symtoms - so would recommend assessment. Some symptoms may be related to anxiety - but you would have to rule out medical causes to know for sure.

Could I have a brain tumor or is it just anxiety? How can I know for sure?

Could I have a brain tumor or is it just anxiety? How can I know for sure?

Talk to your doctor: Short answer is that only a physician who is examining you can determine whether this is anxiety versus a tumor. The surefire way to diagnose a tumor would be some form of radiologic imaging, such as a ct or mri. However, your physician will ask you certain questions that might help determine whether imaging is necessary.

Anxiety about brain tumor. What does it mean when brain seems to slosh around?

Anxiety about brain tumor. What does it mean when brain seems to slosh around?

I don't know!: That is a symptom I have not encountered before. If you are having no other symptoms, however (new or changing headache, weakness, visual changes, new problems with speaking, seizures, etc.) I think your concern is unfounded. To be sure, see a doctor in person and define more specifically what your symptom is. It could be something as simple as water in an ear canal!

Is having anxiety able to cause a brain tumor? Does the pills cause it? Recently had anxiety problem, I got worried when I heard someone had it?

No: There is no evidence that anxiety, stress or oral contraceptives cause brain tumors. It is more likely that having a brain tumor causes anxiety, which is normal. Check in with your doctor, who can address your concerns.

How to distinguish anxiety from a brain tumor or MS? I am panicking about having these diseases.

Comments: First point is "why are you so focused on bad events, and what is causing your anxiety? " Suggest visit to psychiatrist or psychologist, as part of this, and discuss whether you need testing for your concerns with your primary doctor.
