Anxiety And Ibs Diarrhea
Having constant abdominal cramps, bloating, gas, and alternating bouts of constipation and diarrhea. Often brought on by stress, anxiety, and diet.
I suggest seeing a: Gastroenterologist or your physician. Improving healthfulness of your diet if very important. If you can find a quiet place - do so. Hard to say: without knowing your full health history, and what else has been tried, impossible to give good advice. The best treatment for IBS, especially when associated with anxiety, is to treat the anxiety effectively. Benzos, including Xanax, (alprazolam) are NOT the first line treatment for chronic anxiety. Psychotherapies of various kinds and SSRI/SNRI medications are generally better. Increase fiber in your diet. ...Read more

If you stay regular it could go away (prune or pear juice, senna, docusate, miralax (polyethylene glycol) -- all over the counter). Take even if you start going to make sure it doesn't build up again. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
