Many possibilities : Are you stressed and think a lot at night that keeps you thinking and from sleeping? Do you exercise at night? Do you drink alcohol at night? Do you nap during the day? Is your room too hot? Too noisy? All these things can interfere with sleep and make you tired in the day. That's fine if...: If a person works the 3 - 11 p.m. shift, and then does other things until about 5 a.m., it's fine to sleep 5 a.m. to noon. Otherwise, there may be a problem... one that a trip to the primary care doctor can help figure out. It is hard to make a person fall asleep. So, to reset a sleep schedule, it is easier to set the WAKE-UP time earlier each day until the desired proper WAKE-UP time is reached. ...Read more

Sleep study?: Has your insomnia been diagnosed by a specialist? Sleep study? It's important to find the UNDERLYING CAUSE for targetted therapy rather than simply assume some drug'll cure the symptom. I think its normal:: to be tired the day after a sleepless night. You need to discipline your self for better sleeping habits, and control the exercises you do, by starting low and slow and gradually increase the time periods you exercise for. During normal days, i sleep at 12AM and wake up at 6AM, but during holidays, i go to sleep at 2AM and wake up at 9AM. How can it affect my health ??

Not too bad...: One should try to go to bed at 11:00 pm if waking up at 6:00 am, to get 6.5-7 hours of sleep. One the weekends, catch up by getting up 2 hours later. This sleep pattern is not bad (not harmful) if one is happy, smiling, enjoying life, and not drowsy in the daytime. ...Read more

Many causes: Fatigue can be caused by many conditions. You should have your doctor check for anemia and thyroid conditions which are very common in young women.
