When i empty my bowels, i strain. I've always done it and it caused my anal fissures, itching, and pain. How do I stop straining so my anus can heal?

Stool softeners: The straining irritates the anal tissue - the stool is probably a bit too firm. So you need to take something to make it a bit softer. If one of these work - then a little daily is better than intermittent use. And yes, daily use is ok. Mom, glycolax, stool softeners, and even prunes are ok.
