Not the cause of PE: Pulmonary embolism (pe) is an abnormal clot. Your docs are looking for cause. Fibrinogen is an acute phase reactant and is not likely a cause of your clot. Need more info: None of these labs being higher than normal value are clinically problematic. You did not say why the labs were done; i assume you must have an abnormal clot. Low at-iii and low protein c can be related to abnormal clotting. ...Read more
