I have hives all over. If this is caused from shampoo allergy how long will it take for hives to go away? Antihistamines not working.

Depends: It is unlikely that the shampoo is causing a generalized hive condition. If antihistamine has not worked even when taken up to 4x/day, then I would recommend that you consult an allergist. ...Read more

How is cholinergic urticaria treated? Had it for 4 years. Antihistamines aren't working. Septra (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) was the only thing. Once i finished it, it came back.

Allergist: Cholinergic urticaria can be very hard to treat me. Typically, I start with antihistamines. Often very high doses are needed. There Are some other options if that isn't working.
