Not uncommon: Itchiness without rash is fairly common, and when it responds well to a single daily dose of antihistamine, such as otc Cetirizine 10mg, there isn't anything so far out of whack that we would be able to find anything wrong. If taking Cetirizine daily doesn't work, or if you develop a rash that accompanies the itching, see an allergist. Some people need to take Cetirizine for a long time; that's ok. ...Read more

Be specific: You fail to indicate WHICH antihistamine. All antihistamines need time to see effect. Some are more effective than others. What type of hives, what specific trigger? Allergy to antihistamine is possible but not likely. Vague itching soon after a dose is not a good reason to suspect allergy. ...Read more

Contact reaction : What you describe sounds like allergic contact dermatitis to plant material. The only effective treatment is steroids. Have your primary care physician evaluate the rash and prescribe something that will work for you. ...Read more

?: Did you mean "skin cancer" by "SK"? , no , not really, skin cancer would be different and in general wouldn't be itchy, if it doesn't go away by antihistamine or anti-itch (hydrocortisone) cream, see your doctor, proper exam for better evaluation would be needed then for right diagnosis ...Read more

Itchy rash: Are you sure it is sand fly bites? Have you seen a doctor since a rash is best treated with visual evaluation. Add oatmeal baths, increase the oral non-sedating antihistamine to two to three times per day and use the topical anti-itch as often as necessary. Bottom line....See your doctor. ...Read more
