Nasal sprays: Initially you want to start off with nasal corticosteroid nasal sprays. If this alleviates the symptoms then you do not need to do anything else. However, if you have some relief, then try as needed decongestant.

Decongestant: A pseudoephedrine may help with fluid in the middle ear. Antihistamines like Meclizine have been used for vertigo but are thought to exert their effect through sedation rather than specifically treating the dizziness.

I am having severe ear pain. I was vomiting two days ago. There is no sinus pressure. Took an antihistamine to 'help'. I am considering the ER.

Check TMJ: Check for Temporomandibular Joint pain by holding a finger at the entrance of the ear canal while opening and closing your mouth. If the motion is clearly the cause then taking pain medicines, rest and a soft diet is recommended. Other causes could be swimmer's ear which is like a small pimple in the ear canal or a severe middle ear infection which would require antibiotics.

Puffy eyes and dark circles that are not relieved by antihistamines, head elevation, or other lifestyle changes. What could be causing them?

Puffy Eyes: Puffy or swollen eyes can be caused by fluid retention, stress, allergies, hormone changes, and other factors. Other times we get puffy eyes after sleeping. This can be caused by too much sodium in the diet, which causes water retention. Puffy eyes can also be caused by lack of sleep or excessive alcohol intake. Http://www. Eyehealthweb. Com/puffy-eyes/

What are pin-head red dots under skin of my forearm & back of hand & lower leg after taking antihistamine? Only occurs on 1 side of body at a time.

What are pin-head red dots under skin of my forearm & back of hand & lower leg after taking antihistamine? Only occurs on 1 side of body at a time.

Unusual: Antihistamines are an effective treatment for the red raised bumps that occur as part of an allergic reaction. A red rash after taking an antihistamine might represent an allergy to the medication or a reaction to one of the other components of the pill (coloring, filler, preservative, etc.) A photo of the rash and more information about time course & itchiness would help figure this out.

Can medicated ear drops clog your ears?

Can medicated ear drops clog your ears?

Yes: Drops can either make ear wax swell up, mix with infected material to make a plug, form a film that dries on the drum, cause the canal skin to swell in an allergic reaction usually to neomycin, or kill normal bacteria which can promote fungal growth in the canal. Should have ears checked if it continues.
