Antihistamine Affect Ability Hear
My doctor told me I have allergic rhinitis. He gave me a shot & said it was a "histamine shot" did I hear that wrong? Or could it be an antihistamine?
Antihistamine: A possible shot would be an antihistamine shot such as Benadryl. Benadryl, however, causes drowsiness and thus is undesirable sometimes. Another shot for bad allergies is a corticosteroid shot (a steroid shot), which works in a different manner compared to how antihistamines work. ...Read more

Since my friend took Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and Mucinex I just want to make sure she isn't going to have a hear attack or her liver shut down. It wasn't a suicide.
Does Benadryl (diphenhydramine) treat anaphylaxis? My sesame allergy may be worsening, so I need to be prepared. I hear there are health risks of using adrenaline.
Fatigue and hearing: What you describe is most likely a function of your central hearing mechanism, or processing. I suspect if we looked at your actual hearing levels, they would not change even when you are tired. However, your attention, focus and processing are all impacted by fatigue and are all necessary for auditory (hearing) processing. Obtaining an objective hearing test is always an important first step. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Do you lose vision & hearing if all dorsal roots & what's equivalent in the trigeminal area get cut off? (losing ability to feel any pain basically)
No: Is this just a theoretical question? Loss of the input from the dorsal root ganglia wouldn't just eliminate pain sensation, it would eliminate all tactile sensation: Fine touch, vibration, kinesthetic sense, temperature, light touch, crude touch...not a situation that's compatible with any kind of functional life. Control of muscles requires sensory feedback. ...Read more
I've been on ability 10mg for a week and am still not seeing clearly. In fact I've begun to hear whispering voices at night which has never happened?
Abilify (aripiprazole): You need to be in touch with the prescribing doctor. It isn't clear if you are referring to an ocular side effect or a psychological visual matter, or a matter of general clarity of thought. In any of those cases, you need to speak to the prescriber. Whispering voices? Many possibilities, but one is that the dose is too low. ...Read more

Can we improve our ability to hear different sounds and distinguish them by just listening to music?
Is there any possibility that a deviant septum condition may effect on the hearing ability of one of the ears?
Highly unlikely: Making an incision and placing a tube in the ear drum can cause scarring. However, it is highly unlikely that the scarring would cause any hearing loss, even after repeated tube placement. Having the condition for which the tubes are being placed is usually casuing hearing loss. The benefits of tube placement far out-weigh not having them. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Being 23 is it normal to have a very noticeable difference in the ability of hearing in the left ear more than the right ear?
