Middle back pain radiating to hip and buttock, right side. Finished antibiotics for UTI yet continued back pain. Causes please?
It May: Severe constipation can cause buttock ; back pain. But the reverse is also true. Some back pain medications can cause constipation. Also, diseases (some quite serious) that affect the colon or pelvic area can cause both buttock/back pain and severe constipation. If the pain does not go away long term after your bowels are going again, see your doctor! ...Read more
Not common: To have low back pain with abdominal pain. Sure it happens, but when it occurs, it helps diagnose the cause. Usually though, back pain remains in your back, or travels into your leg. Yes, may need ER: Yes, uti's can definitely cause pain in your pelvic region, but if you are having rib pain you may need to be concerned about pyelonephritis, which is where a UTI can climb up toward your kidneys and can be a much more severe infection. Fluid build up in inner ear, lymph node swelling and severe back pain. Antibiotics not working - what could be potential causes ?
Several conditions: It sounds like your eustachian tubes are not venting your ears until higher pressure has built up. Lymph node swelling suggests inflammation and many different conditions can cause them to swell. Infection is only one of them. Some such as mastoiditis can be very hard to clear even with the right antibiotic. I suggest you see an Otorhinolaryngologist (ENT) to help you sort this out. ...Read more

Your UA result: Trace leukocytes is actually a fairly normal finding and not really associated with infection.
