Should i take clomid, (clomiphene) before giong for ivf? It might work and i may b pregnant without ivf?
Received injection of rocephin (ceftriaxone) and prescribed antibiotics. Should I wait until next day to begin antibiotics?
Follow instructions: Follow the instructions of the doctor who prescribed the injection and oral antibiotics. If one does not recall the instructions, one generally can go ahead and start the oral antibiotics (instead of waiting until the next day). This usually works fine, because the level of oral antibiotics in the body will be rising as the level of injected antibiotics is going away. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
5 failed IUI with letrozole, mild endo removed by laparoscopy, one miscarriage but conceived naturally after 2 yrs. IVF next or Iui with injectables?
No more IUI: Since you've failed 5 IUIs, it is no longer a good option for you, especially for someone with endometriosis. One reason patients with endometriosis not able to conceive naturally, is because the endometriosis will cause pelvic adhesion and tubal dysfunction. IVF is a much better option. If you are afraid of using drugs, you may choose natural cycle IVF or mild stimulation IVF. ...Read more
Clomid (clomiphene) & pregnancy: In most cases Clomid (clomiphene) delays ovulation. If you have usually a 28 day cycle you will ovulate around day 16. Having relations from day 14 would be good. Unfortunately, Clomid (clomiphene) also may decrease the amount of cervical mucus limiting sperm transport. If you notice this speak to your gyn. ...Read more
21yo w/ pcos, conceived 1st baby after 1 Clomid (clomiphene) cycle, now trying for #2 at 11 months pp. Will Clomid (clomiphene) be as effective at inducing ovulation this time?
After progesterone: I can't tell if you've had failed IVF or just asking "in case;" if it was failed I'm very sorry. Bleeding usually starts within a few days of stopping your progesterone, though sometimes it may take longer. You'd need to be examined by your IVF doctor - and OF COURSE you should discuss these matters with him or her. Best wishes. ...Read more

Yes: Fertilization is conception. Therefore, a woman whose egg has finished being fertilized has finished conceiving. She has a one-celled "baby" which is just a fertilized egg. It splits into 2 cells, then 4 cells, then 8 cells, etc... No woman knows exactly when she conceives, in a natural pregnancy. How would she know? She can neither see it or feel it. Conception dates are therefore only estimates. ...Read more
Genrally not: There is always the chance that if you received HCG trigger shot and you released some eggs, there is the possibility that pregnancy could occur. However, that would probably be unlikely since you are doing ivf since you are having trouble conceiving. No harm in trying. Hope this helps. ...Read more

P.C.O.S. And trying to conceive. Failed IUI + Clomid cycle. Period induced with provera (medroxyprogesterone) after 5 days of stopping pill... Now 12 days after: nothing?
No ovulation: If you did not have a spontaneous menses then you didn't ovulate. Provera will bring on a menstrual cycle if you did not ovulate. You may want to try glucophage (metformin) or Femara next to help you ovulate. If you are not on a low glycemic index diet that will help you. If you are not your ideal weight then eating better to improve your weight will help you immensely. Good luck. ...Read more
