Can I get list of antibiotics by strength?

Can I get list of antibiotics by strength?

List of Antibiotics: You can get lists of antibiotics readily available from many sources on the Internet. Strength of an antibiotic is a rather subjective thing as it depends on which bacteria you are trying to treat. For example, Penicillin is very effective for Strep Throat but will not treat most skin infections. This doesn't make it any weaker an antibiotic that Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) which would treat both. Just different. ...Read more

Complex Symptoms: Cellulitis is basically a visible inflammation (itis) of the skin and soft tissues (red, hot, swollen and tender). Could the body be exhausted trying to fight off the infection from its own strength, when it actually needs the help of antibiotics?

Could the body be exhausted trying to fight off the infection from its own strength, when it actually needs the help of antibiotics?

Infection: If I understand the question correctly, then yes, without antibiotics the body can have substantial symptoms while it tries to fight the infection on its own. Exhaustion can be one, as can death, if the infection is bad enough. Appropriate intervention with antibiotics is indicated for most bacterial infections. ...Read more

What is a better choice for skin staph infection: maximum strength neosporin or bacitracin with zinc along with the oral antibiotic doxycyline? Thanks

What is a better choice for skin staph infection: maximum strength neosporin or bacitracin with zinc along with the oral antibiotic doxycyline? Thanks

Doxycycline: The treatment of choice for any staph infection is oral Doxycycline (or one of the other antibiotics indicated for staph). Topical creams such as neosporin or Bacitracin are relatively ineffective; they might have a small supplemental effect when used with an oral antibiotic, but should not be used by themselves for staph. ...Read more

My urologist says an inbedded bladder infection can make urodynamics inaccurate and affect detrusor strength and timing is this true? He said antibiot

My urologist says an inbedded bladder infection can make urodynamics inaccurate and affect detrusor strength and timing is this true? He said antibiot

Yes: An imbedded bladder infection is localized in the muscle and tissue layers deep to the surface of the bladder. This changes the ability of the muscle (e.g detrusor) to contract and relax; this, in turn can change urodynamic measures, as a new uncontrolled variable has been introduced. The infection is not accounted for in the urodynamic norm tables as it varies too much across people. ...Read more

No, if used properly: Antibiotics are excellent in treating infections! Visit a physician when you think you have an infection (fever, chills, abscesses) - only certain antibiotics treat certain bacteria, your doc might run some tests before they give you an rx.
Do not try to self treat with antibiotics: it can be dangerous to you and it can induce resistance from the bacteria if you take it unnecessarily. ...Read more

Exercise when on antibiotics?

Can do.: Don't do vigorous work ups. Exercise in moderation is ok. Always drink enough water while on antibiotics as some of the antibiotics are excreted through kidneys.
