There are other types of lung problems more common in certain age groups so it is important to know how old he is. Had 3 rounds of antibiotics amoxicillin, Z-pak, and ciproflocin and im left with a dry cough with phlegm sometimes what could it be?

Could be...: many causes. Most likely, it is a "post-viral" cough, which is just a chronic irritation from bronchitis. But it could be asthma, stomach acid reflux, allergies, or post nasal sinus drainage. If you smoke, you should quit, and you can try prescription cough suppressants for a week or so before you get worried. It is not abnormal for the cough of a viral bronchitis to last 4-6 weeks! ...Read more

See a doctor: It's probably best to get checked out properly as your symptoms raise my concern. It's unclear what those 2 months worth of symptoms were — in the Philippines TB lymphadenitis (TB of the lymph nodes) is somewhat common. What antibiotic did you take?
