If it is possible I have mastoiditis and I was given antibiotic ear drops for an ear infection, would that alone likely solve the problem?

External vs middle: The most important part of this question is whether you have an outer ear (ear canal) or middle ear (behind the eardrum) infection. Drops only work for infection in the ear canal. That depends: You don't say if you have a swimmer's ear (external otitis) or otitis media with a ruptured ear drum. An external otitis is treated with ear drops alone, and the drainage should have noticeably lessened by now.
