I have a vein in my left antecubital space that has a large knot in it and is painful and burning. How concerned should I be?
The most common: cause of clots in the veins under the skin surface is injury, blood drawing being the most common cause in the antecubital area. These clots aren't dangerous in & of themselves, but they may indicate potential for clotting in the deep veins. Treatment includes moist heat, OTC pain meds & time. No hurry, but you should follow up with your doctor about this unless you just had blood drawn. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Lymph gland: most likely this is a lymph gland which is part of the immune system that gets bigger when there is infection to produce antibodies. generally speaking you might require a course of antibiotics and blood test. then possibly a biopsy to find out what that is if is still persist. research find that the chance for this to be nutsy is extremely rare you will need to see your doctor to discuss that ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Rash: Hi, it’s hard to say without a picture but there is a great app that may be able to help you get a diagnosis without being seen in person by a dermatologist. The app is called VisualDX and is one of the best, if not the best out there. Many clinicians, including myself, use it. Just snap a photo and it gives you a list of possible diagnoses. Good luck! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Blood draw from rt a/c and tb test below it. 5 days later red dots around antecubital area and pimple next to red but neg tb test. Normal? Coincidence
2 seperate: Most probable cause is you had some minor localized reaction to the blood draw (possible contact dermatitis if you had a bandaide on the area or tape, etc.) and the TB test below the site of the same arm, would not have anything to do with the injection site of the blood draw. Best wishes. ...Read more
What would cause weakness in my
Antecubital? Hurts when i lift things. When i push on it i feel ache/pain in one spot. Also a slight pain when I extend my arm all the way with palm facing up.
Biceps tendon: this sounds like a biceps tendon injury or biceps tendinitis. Anti-inflammatories can help. Ice massage and or moist heat to the area can also help. Avoid forceful flexion of the elbow or full extension of the elbow. Avoid carrying anything heavy or pulling forcefully with the affected arm. Can take 6 to 12 weeks sometimes to resolve. If no improvement in two weeks, see your doctor for evaluation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
1wk after 10 blood draws w venflon in antecubital space after extreme tourniquet, veins right under armpit hurt a lot not constantly no redness. Why?
Veinous inflammation: The antecubital vein which was probably the target of the blood draw runs up towards the armpit where it joins other veins. You may have had a small blood clot where the needle was placed that then traveled up to your armpit. It will dissolve on its own. Or the pressure on the vein from the repeated tourniquet may have stretched and inflamed it. Ouch. Very sorry about your ordeal. ...Read more

I have a patch of bumps on my left and right arm between my antecubital and my elbow. They are really itchy and they come and go through out the day. I also get patches of itchy hives on my thighs and the sides of my knees. It all seems to be symmetrical.
Urticaria: Seems acute urticaria, may due to something you ate or exposed too or a medicine, or may be a pet, OTC antihistamines would help, start with the less sedating as loratadine or fexofenadine, don't drive if you feel drowsy, avoid the cause of the rash if known, if no improvement see your doctor ...Read more
