Pretty good: Ankle ligaments take about six weeks to fully heal. In a month, you should be feeling pretty good with no limitations in day to day activities. High demand activities such as soccer, basketball, etc may still cause soreness. Modify activity pain permitting.See 1 more doctor answer

Could the loose body cause a ankle sprain to heal slowly. Also it feel like my ankle is on fire do that mean anything. Thanks?
Sprain ankle: Grade three usually needs sx due complete tear which heals in 4-6 weeks without surgery around 8 weeks but will have weakness.
3rd degree inversion: A severe 3rd degree inversion ankle sprain takes longer than 3-4 weeks and may need surgery to stabilize the multiple ligament tears. Due to the severity, you may have internal ankle joint damage as well and may need surgical stabilization procedures which can take up to 3-6 months to heal. Best of luck.
Consider: Stem Cell Therapy or Platelet procedures to help with healing and strengthen ligaments. It can help decrease pain and strengthen ligaments in the surrounding muscles and facet joints. Check out Regenexx. Com for more info.
Is it useful to ice an ankle sprain to reduce swelling, after 2 months since it happened (it isn't healed completely)?
Ankle sprains: Nope. Ice is for the acute period right after an injury to limit swelling and thus pain. It would have no therapeutic effect this far after an injury.See 1 more doctor answer
