Is it normal for 7 month baby to eat 200gr of fresh fruit porridge (banana, apple, medlar, cherry, cherry plum, peach) between meals?
Childhood Obesity: Nope. Not at all. That is 800 calories. You are the parent. You are responsible for the health of your child. This is obscene and to me child abuse to allow your child to become grossly obese. If they are not obese they soon will be at that rate. 800 calories in a 7 month old between regular meals? That is extremely unhealthy. ...Read more

Are apples, cherry tomatoes, peaches, light yogurts, avocados, carrots, and watermelon good for diabetics?
Diabetes and Food: I think the simple answer is no. But, when you look at these specific items in your list there are things that are lower in carbohydrates like the yogurt and the avocado. But, in each person with diabetes, the answer may vary based upon how well controlled their blood sugars are. The goal is to eat more protein and less carbohydrates. That means less sugars, less fruits and less carbs overall. ...Read more

Add Miralax (polyethylene glycol): Constipation or stool holding is not uncommon at 22 months of age. It is very difficult to make a toddler eat the required amount of fiber/juice daily to overcome hard stools. To treat the stool holding/constipation i recommend 1/2 capful of MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) daily-an otc stool softener-adjust the dose so your child has 1-3 soft easy thin stools daily. I would continue it for 4-6 months. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How many fruits should I eat each day? I don't understand servings. Should I eat 5 fruits a day. For example, pear, Apple, grape fruit, banana, ect?
Fruits & Vegetables: combo of 7 -13 cups per day is now recommended by the US govt. It can be hard to do. A greens powder added to water can help. Can you tell me if i only are oranges, grapes, apples, broccoli, brussel sprouts and almonds every day?
Whose idea is that?: You're going to end up protein-deficient, B12 deficient (asking for brain damage) and probably short on several other nutrients. Please forgive me if this is someone's "politically correct" or "holistic / spiritual" idea. Serious nutritional deficiencies are common in folks who undertake weird diets. I bet you realized this was a bad idea. Keep up being discerning, and best wishes. ...Read more

Sodium free beans (kidney, black, garbanzo, pinto) vs sweet potatoes which is healthier for wright loss? I've been eatin beans and avoiding potatoes
Neither: Both types of foods contain high glycemic index sugars, the sweet potatoes being somewhat worse. A balanced, lower fat diet and exercise will suffice for weight loss of 10 lbs. Or so. A larger weight loss might require a specific diet. Of those available you should look at the dukan diet. It is a low-fat, high protein, low glycemic index-food diet and is safe for most people. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I m tryin to lose some xtra calories! i daily eat freash vegies cooked in chilli and soy sauce! are these sauce fattening?
Not directly, but...: The calories are extremely low - so in that way they're not fattening. Also veggies are not fattening. Even a bit of healthy oil (olive, canola) for cooking is fine. Other herbs & spices won't add calories either. But.... The sodium in soy sauce may cause water retention, etc so don't over-do that ingredient. Use a low sodium type or substitute / supplement with lemon or lime juice. Good for you! ...Read more

OK- healthier if...: This has potential but i advise choosing organic yogurt;conventional brands like activia are from cows fed gmo corn & given antibiotics & rbgh(bovine growth hormone)-avoid! the same applies to eggs. Please eat organic eggs or they're from chickens fed gmo's & antibiotics! almonds, sweet potato & brussel sprouts are all healthy- while organic is best, these are acceptable if grown conventionally. ...Read more

What are the exercises which give my body a pear-like shape? I want to increase width of my waste and bottom
Heredity: Our genetics or heredity influence the basic shape of our bodies. Weight gain will clearly show where you put on the extra weight: pear=hips/thighs/buttocks. Apple=trunk/belly enlarge. Cooking food: In general, any cooking depletes food of some nutrients. On the other hand, it makes other nutrients more accessible by making the food more digestible. It can also denature irritants in food that can cause stomach upset and kill harmful bacteria. This is about cooking in food in general.
