The more lubrication: The better, I would add vitamin E and a Bcomplex for skin lubrication, and try some vaniply mixed with hydrocortisone three times a day. If not better see your derm

Wrong question: Angular cheilitis is due to SALIVA. While treatment against yeast and staph may sometimes be useful, they are of peripheral interest. Most of these are in older people who have lost teeth. They have a deep fold of skin which draws in saliva by capillary action, usually during sleep. Protection of the skin from saliva is key. No quick treatments: Angular cheilitis is the cracking at the corners of the mouth, with some inflammation and probably some candidal yeast overgrowth. A little Clotrimazole antifungal cream and a little Hydrocortisone cream for week can make it better. There aren't herbal creams that decrease inflammation the way Hydrocortisone does. A doctor can check for signs of vitamin deficiency, lip eczema, or oral herpes.

Chapstick: Typically most moisturizing ointments will help. It is usually a form of chapping from saliva "drooling", licking the corners of your mouth etc.

Petroleum jelly/HC1%: You can use petroleum jelly frequently, or aquafor. Hydrocortisone1% available over the counter may be used. But avoid licking your lips and over the counter vitamin containing all of vitamin bs may be used as there may be vitamin deficiency as well contributing to it if no response see your doctor as you may need antifungal antibiotics.

Dry and anti fungal.: Keep corners of your mouth as dry as possible. A topical anti fungal will often resolve this. Use for 10 days after resolution of symptoms to ensure yeast is gone.
