Anxious Depression?: Or maybe a bipolar type of anxious depression? Is this a new problem? Is there loss of energy, drive and motivation? Are the mood swings random or are they caused by stress you can identify? Severe anxiety alone can cause most of those symptoms. Concentration is generally not good in anxiety and depression. Several Possibilitie: Alcohol cause chemical brain imbalance and is a depressant. Certain medications and recreational drugs (marijuana) and depression can result in lack of motivation. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. Hormones can certainly do it, as well. Get a check up with pcp and ask for referral for a psychological evaluation.
