My 14 yr old son who is takes 40 mg of Vyvanse & 20 mg of Lexapro a day, wants to take a GNC product for weightlifting and the the product if called muscle tech anabolic halo hardcore proseries (post workout) and contains some creatine, caffeine, phenylal
Be Careful: Since both vyvanse and Lexapro have strong effects on the brain's neurotransmitters (norpramine, serotonin , etc) and different requirements for brain enzymes to deal with these drugs i would not take supplements that include creatine and others. Vitamins are generally safe and effective. Stay away from other nutritional products until your doctor can tell you whether they are safe to take. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Good choice: Not everyone agrees but from my reading, creatine seems a good idea for a guy who wants to build up his muscle mass to get bigger faster. It's much more likely to work than "natural vitamin supplements". It is legal & seems save & won't leave you grotesque like anabolic steroids. Sure: Bodybuilding, right? I'm very glad you're doing this. It's a wonderful gift for yourself. Stay away from the Anabolic steroids -- I've been around gyms for decades and every guy I know who's tried them has regretted it. They affect the mind, they're illegal and cheating, and almost all women prefer a naturally-fit-looking man. Keep doing what you're doing. ...Read more
I'm planning to take optimum nutrition protein powder "serious mass". Just wanted to know if creatine monohydrate safe for health?
Very safe: I am extremely glad that you are choosing to use creatine as your bodybuilding supplement rather than an anabolic steroid. The former is for real athletes; the latter is for cheaters / lawbreakers. Remember that most women strongly prefer the "natural bodybuilder" look, feel, and attitude. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
