My SGPT is 209 and my SGOT is 142 and my ANA is 1/160 and M2 +++. AMA is <1:20.ALP is 50 What do you think these results mean ?can you briefly explain
An "ana" is a blood test used to screen a person for the possibility of several autoimmune diseases. It is important to remember that this is a screening test and a positive result only indicates more testing may be warranted. No blood test is perfect, and getting to a diagnosis is usually much more complex than drawing blood and looking at a number ...Read more

I would not: This syrup is not available in the US but reading online it contains all sorts of stuff that may or may not have hormonal effects. There also does not appear evidence that is actually works. I would avoid ...Read more
See below...: The treatment of leukemia, like any other cancer, should be managed by an oncologist. Many times the relapse is still responsive to chemotherapy and a second remission may be achieved. Can GFR be low if i has not had a drink of for about 14 hrs before the blood test? Result=85.1ml/min/1.73 m2 thx
GFR and dehydration: You can have a low GFR due to dehydration and the figure of 85 ml/min is an estimated gfr. You did not mention your bun, sodium, chloride or creatinine and that would have been helpful in determining if you were really dehydrated. Ask your doctor to order a 24 hour urine for creatinine clearance and protein and that will tell you exactly what your GFR is, actually not estimated. ...Read more

Echocardiogram shows indexed left atrium volume is 10.6 cc/m2. Normal is apparently 16-28. What is the significance of this?
Normal but re-check.: Congratulate yourself .... you have a normal left atrial volume. At 56 yrs of age ... presumably I would not expect to detect mitral valve disease, hypertension, or changes in your left ventricle. On the other hand .... the value is so small ... I would go back to the Echo personnel .... and verify the volume. Some rare conditions ... e.g.Addison's disease are associated with small volumes. ...Read more
