Strep throat: i would be concerned that is wasnt strep throat. given that its back i would go to the doctor to culture the back of your tonsils, then start a different antibiotic. since your a breastfeeding F/U with your OB to be placed on an antibiotic that is safe during breast feeding. ideally you need something different than a penicillin or amoxicillin. after they obtain cultures you can taper antibiotics. ...Read more

Not good idea: Anytime you are on medication, alcoholic beverages shouldn't be taken at the same time. With your history of h. pylori, you need to be cleared of it thru a breath test, (or stool sample or both). Having ethanol on board is just not a good idea.
